Beef Tips and Noodles

  1. Slice the beef steaks against the grain into inch and a half chunks. If you cut the beef the wrong way, it will make it tough. Put into the crockpot. Add the diced onions and mushrooms to the crockpot.
  2. In another large bowl, combine the mushroom soup, gravy and onion soup mix with the 3 cups of water and mix well together. Add pepper and salt to taste. I don’t usually add salt because the other ingredients already contain enough sodium for me.
  3. Now pour this mixture over you beef and veggies. Mix everything up. Put the lid on top, turn the crockpot on the lowest setting and let it cook all day. You can put it on the 6-hour setting if you would like it done sooner. But like I said before, the longer this will cook, the better it is! It doesn’t hurt to stir the mixture half way through.
  4. About a half hour before you are ready for everyone to dig in, start a large pot of water on the stove for the noodles. Follow the instructions on the package. When they have finished cooking, drain them and add the butter to the noodles. When it is finished, you should have a nice thick gravy filled with delicious meat. Serve over the buttery noodles.
Recipe Notes

I always make a lot, so that we can have left overs or to feed a large group. You can cut this recipe in half to have a smaller family meal. You can make this recipe on the stove top, but the key to the meat being so tender is that it cooks all day.

Enjoy with your beautiful friends and family!
